Partridge Lakes, Culcheth
The closest option for most WA3 families and genuinely one of the better ones in the area. Partridge Lakes is running its fireworks event on Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th November 2026, with entry from 5pm and the display starting at 7pm. This year the display is over the Gold Lake for the first time, which should make for a good backdrop. It is a laser light show and low noise firework display synchronised to music, which is worth knowing if you have younger children or a dog. There is live music throughout the evening, food and drinks including a fully stocked bar, undercover seating with firepits and the option to toast marshmallows. Tickets are required and available via partridgelakesevents.co.uk.
Spooky World, Warrington
Spooky World at WA4 4NW runs an annual bonfire and fireworks night on their farmland just outside Warrington. It is all ages and runs alongside their scare attraction, so you can choose bonfire only tickets if you are coming with younger children. It tends to sell out so booking well in advance is worth doing. Check spookyworld.co.uk for 2026 dates and tickets as they are released.
Golborne and the Lowton area
The Lowton and Golborne patch has a strong tradition of local bonfire events run by sports and social clubs. In previous years Golborne Sports and Social Club and Golborne Parkside have both held displays on the bonfire night weekend, and there has been a display in Newton-le-Willows too. These are community events run independently so dates and ticketing for 2026 will be announced closer to the time. Lowton and Golborne News on Facebook is the best place to watch for local announcements on these as they come out.
Haigh Woodland Park, Wigan
About 20 minutes from Lowton, Haigh Woodland Park is a reliable option with a good-sized display set in the woodland grounds. It tends to attract a large crowd so parking early is worth doing. Check Wigan Council's events pages for 2026 dates as they are confirmed.
A note on timing
Most of these events will cluster around Saturday 7th November 2026 as the main weekend night. If you are planning to go to more than one across the week, the Partridge Lakes dates give you the flexibility of Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Check each venue's own website or social media for the most up to date information on tickets and times before you go.
